Recently, the Italian Constitutional Court ruled that the economic remedies applicable to “new hired employees” in cases of unlawful dismissal in “small businesses” should be modified.
In particular, the previous legislation’s limits on compensation based on the company’s size have been removed.
This is also an issue of interest to foreign companies that control entities subject to Italian law.
