Speciale della rivista The Lawyer sui concorrenti al premio relativo al mercato legale italiano.

Employment boutique Lexellent is the youngest firm on the Italy shortlist for the European Awards, but its partners have been working together for years. As managing partner Sergio Barozzi says, it is a “new old firm”.
Barozzi and four colleagues from Eversheds split off just under four years ago to establish Lexellent. Their aim was to found a firm which would challenge the Italian status quo in employment law, where ‘labour consultants’ provide advice to small and medium-sized businesses on employment contracts and payroll services – although they are neither lawyers nor accountants.
Lexellent is aiming to fill the gap of providing legal services to these businesses on labour law matters…. “It’s a long process and it’s step by step,” he says. The firm was set up at an opportune moment for employment law, with many companies facing staffing challenges associated with the crisis, but at a harder time for a new practice thanks to fee pressure.
Lexellent uses success fees as an option and is putting in place systems that help evaluate the risk a client might be taking on. Fees are charged according to the expertise of the lawyer handling a case, rather than their seniority, putting each fee earners’ specialisms to the fore.
Future growth will see the firm look at adding non-legal services to its structure to meet the full range of employment-related requirements for its clients”.
